Downtown Boise

As the temperature rises, graduation festivities commence, and the school season draws to a close, the extended Memorial Day weekend heralds the beginning of outdoor adventures, barbecues, camping trips, and a chance to honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in service to our country.

Here are some events and activities our real estate agents enjoy to make the most of the three-day weekend:

  • Field of Honor
The City of Eagle will host the 17th annual Eagle Field of Honor on May 20 – May 30, 2023. Visitors and volunteers from the surrounding communities will experience an amazing display of patriotism including hundreds of large U.S. flags atop 8 ft poles in perfect rows on a field of green.

  • Idaho Shakespeare Festival
The 2023 season kicks off with it's first performance, Little Shop of Horrors. This popular musical has captured audiences for over 30 years.

  • Visit Shoshone Falls
Deemed the "Niagara of the West" this natural wonder is just a two-hour drive from Boise. Make a trip out of it and pack a picnic to enjoy at Shoshone Falls park, stop at the visitor center and experience the Perrine Memorial Bridge from 486 feet high.

  • Go for a hike!
The weather is beautiful this time of year for a hike! Here are 10 trails for every age and ability.

  • Visit the Warhawk
Delve into our nation's rich history and gain insights into World War II through captivating historical artifacts and exhibits. The museum will be open on Monday, May 29th for Memorial Day with a Memorial Day flyover scheduled for 10:59–11:17 AM over Nampa, Meridian Eagle, and Boise.

  • Explore the Capital City Public Market
Saturday, May 27th, 9:30 am -1:30 pm. 827 W Main St. The market features fresh produce, delicious food and art all from local Idahoans.
