Tom really showed his industry experience when we worked with him. As first-time home buyers, we were completely blind going into the process. He took time (months in advance of actually getting pre-approved) to sit down with us and explain the process and our options. We spoke about everything from desired areas in the Valley, to savings goals that he'd recommend us to have going into the process. Taking this extra step for us really showed that Tom was invested in each of his clients. Throughout the process, Tom won't miss a call/text/email from you, and is always happy to answer any question you may have. With each home we toured, he was quick to point out positives aspects, potential risks, and even helped us analyze what would help or hinder the resell process if we ever chose to do so. Not only did he help find us the perfect home for us, he helped us as we were two states away. Working with Tom Caples was such a pleasant experience! It was our first time buying a house so we had a lot of questions that Tom took the time answer for us! It was also a complex situation where my husband was on and off of deployment and I wasn't in the state of Idaho to look at houses. I was paired with Tom as my real estate agent through USAA and I'm glad and thankful it was a down to earth dude. As a military member with many relocations, you start with looking for agents through referrals. The agent I was referred (through other military members) I initially contacted in which she responded initially but left it at that and did not reply to any messages/calls afterwards. I found Tom through USAA's agent referral. His name will definitely be on the military/word-of-mouth referral network. Tom went out of his way to get to know his buyer (me and the Mrs) and listened to the type of home we were searching for. Trying to buy a home remotely was a challenge. Tom kept in contact with us using phone calls, emails, texts, and Skype. He did a home walk around for us using Skype! Documents were digital and we as buyers could easily review and sign digitally as well. Tom also contacted our loan officer on our behalf to provide info to make for a smooth and swift transaction. Tom goes above and beyond. There was a limited time sale on appliances but I wasn't sure how/if they would fit into our pending home. Tom, without hesitation, arranges with the seller for him to go into the home to take some measurements for us! He was the expert wingman/bro I needed when buying a home. Truly a genuine guy and highly recommended.
